Today, I worked up my courage and took an elevator for the first time in my life. Unfortunately, it was also my first time getting trapped for several hours in an elevator. FML

Yeah, that happens all the time. (Shhhh. The more people we can get to believe that, the fewer will clog our elevators and stop at floors before ours.) Take the stairs. You probably need the exercise, fattie!

I don't blame you if you give up on elevators completely. I remember getting stuck in one for two hours. I spent months in therapy to get over the habit of just crying when seeing one.

I once got stuck in an elevator for 2 hours with about 20 drunk guys wearing orange shorts, no shirts and Mardi Gras beads (I was one of them) and two of their girlfriends. Even though I have some claustrophobia, getting stuck with friends made it a lot more fun than you'd expect.
