TBH it probably wouldn't be a good idea to give a poem about your 'vulnerability' to someone who was even madly in love with you. So to give it to some guy you're 'falling for' probably just looks sad/pathetic/creepy.
Deserved on sooooo many levels
What a douche. Drop kick that bitch.
He's a total dick then. But I think the true reason behind his dickness is because he didn't know how to react when a girl's writing a poem to a guy (rather than the other way around) so he just went with his guy instinct...
I disagree with a lot of these commenters. I'm a guy, and I would love it if a girl wrote poetry for me. I don't think it's any creepier than a girl saying "I love you", and it actually shows that she's artistic and brave, willing to open herself up even though she is feeling vulnerable and probably self-conscious about their poem. I guess for some reason a lot of guys associate love poetry with stalkers. I say keep writing poems for other guys you like, and eventually you'll find the right one.
Aww. He's not worth it then. Asshole.
awww....i'd date you! its nice to see you take the time to write something for him like that. i would have written something for a girl i fall for. i suppose he's just not the "open your heart" type like i am. look for someone who is. i'm in complete agreement with 139 oh and 127, we dont ask ppl to prom with just a "wanna go to prom with me?" (at least at my high school we dont) either. its a lot more fun to get creative. i, for example, progammed a TI Calculator game that would pop the question on my date's calculator. my friend had used an origami rose. its all relative :)

It's cool that you had the guts to gave him a poem you wrote yourself, but you really shouldn't write about how vulnerable someone makes you feel. And they're a little overdone, making them even more corny. Not everyone appreciates poetry though.
most guys dont like poems specially love poems you should have just told him how you felt its not that hard
