I pulled this prank once on a friend. He was so quick to respond to the situation that I ended up getting bitch slapped by his girlfriend, my plan backfired and it hurt. It's all about how you react OP, stay confident and stick to your story she has to believe you at some point.

Why I do of course. It wasn't like I did it to a random person like in OP's situation, we prank each other all the time. I planned on apologizing to his girlfriend afterwards and I did even after she hit me, no real harm done.
