If your girlfriend really trusted you, she would believe you right away. It's a lousy situation, but it brought an issue to light. Maybe you need to have a conversation with her about the importance of trust in a relationship. If she still doesn't believe you or come around, I would consider ending the relationship. Do you really want to have to explain yourself every time something she finds suspicious comes up? I'm truly hoping it never gets to the point where the relationship ends because of trust issues. Just talk to the girl and I think it will all be okay.

I'm sorry to say this, but I'm pretty sure you wouldn't believe your boyfriend right away either. There is always a feeling of " Is he telling the truth?" because it seems like human nature to be suspicious at first.
