Why would you pull it out in the classroom, rather than go to the bathroom first and pull it out when you get there?
Are you suggesting she should have asked the teacher to accompany her to the restroom to sort the problem out?
"I reached into my bag to pull out a tampon:" asking why you would pull it out in class seems like a reference to the tampon.
Well the teacher might also be suspicious if you take your bag with you
Then you can explain to the teacher without a visual aid why you are going. OP did kinda shoot herself in the foot by going for it early. I'm not saying it's her fault, the teacher was just doing their job and it turned into a shitty situation.
No, I mean that, instead of pulling out a tampon and then going to the bathroom, she should've went to the bathroom first and then pulled out her tampon. That way, the teacher wouldn't have seen anything weird, so there wouldn't have been a problem. Also, why is that hard to understand?
But taking your bag to the bathroom in class can scream "I'm on my period and have to take this with me!!" Why else do you need to take your bag? Unless its to take your phone and text - which the teacher still would have questioned. She was trying to be discreet and it backfired. I don't blame her a bit for trying to take it out first, but I also don't see it as a big deal, girls have periods just tell the teacher and let it go. The more embarrassed you get the bigger deal it becomes, it's a fact of life (that yes we try to be discreet about) that we just gotta accept and deal with - awkward moments and all!
But why would OP take her whole backpack making it really suspicious and then her teacher probably would have thought she was ditching class, and then she would've had to sit her backpack down and now I'm sure the class's attention is on her and then she'd have to take it out in front of the class anyway or just leave without it, being too embarrassed to grab it, and gone to the bathroom defeating the whole purpose so your statement was invalid
I'd bring my bag. Never know what other classmates will do to it or steal from it.
Also if it's like a big backpack or something the teacher would be like WTF?
I hope your teacher feels horrible for putting you on blast. All though periods are nothing to be ashamed of, there's nothing wrong with trying to be discreet. Everyone doesn't need to know your private business. FYL
This reminds me of the time my teacher tried to confiscate a girl's phone because she had reached into her pocket. It turned out the girl was getting a sweet. Teachers are extremely quick to try and confiscate cellphones so even if you reach into your pocket during class they assume it's to check your phone. Don't feel too bad about it OP, just try to laugh off the embarassment and hopefully everyone will have forgotten about it by next week.
Teachers are assholes like that.. I do many things to embarrass my teacher as payback.. Usually I'll text in class.. But I'll have backpack on desk and when he asks if I'm textin quickly slip it in the side pocket.. He asks me to move backpack I lift it straight up, he looks like a fool..
I remember when I was in high school and the teacher tied to take my phone, when all I wanted was a cinnamon heart from out of my bag. So I told her she couldn't have it, she argued for awhile but eventually gave up. Teachers can't legally force you to give up your stuff, they can only ask and hope you give in.
Yr a girl you use tampons. It's life.
well this might make since if you're was spelled correctly and there was a comma placed in there
Irony, thy name is DevinY1. *sense
That sucks. Perhaps next time just walk to the teacher and quietly tell her that you needed to change your sanitary product and didn't want to notify the whole class.
Eh, I don't think that'd really bother me but then I went to an all girl's school and we were more open...I know this is one of those things that really upsets some people though so fyl.
Well that's bloody awful!
It's just a tampon. It's not embarrassing! I'll never understand why girls get embarrassed by it and I am one. It's only embarrassing if you leak, now that is terrifying.
it's a tampon, you're a girl.... where is the FML?
Well... There's the visceral horror in your underpants. There's the constant worry that everyone else can smell it. There's the pain, oh god the pain. There's BLOOD. EVERYWHERE. There's the discomfort of sanitary products. If you use a tampon, there's the risk of toxic shock syndrome. There's the fact that everyone will dismiss your genuine complaints and worries because 'lol your on your period'. There's the fact that you might be highly aroused but feel too icky to solve the problem, leading to pain in the ******** and vulva. And then some ******** teacher forces you to reveal all this in front of a class of possibly thirty or more people. Thank the gods I'm on the pill.
*you're
I'm certain that particular "your" was intentio- Ohh, you're trollin'. Never mind.

Look her straight in the eyes, shove that tampon up your nose, and remain eye contact. She'll never call you out like that again.
It's only natural... I hope the teacher feels like a dick now though!
