I hate customers, I work at mcdonalds and I get blamed for food mistakes that the grill makes, I just hand out the food, it's complete and utter bullshit. I'm getting trained on grill cause I can't stand customers.

Well, I suppose the manager probably just wanted you to say it in a more friendly way, like "No ma'am, this is the Old Navy store. However, the [insert random department store here] should have them." But still the customer's a dumbass.

I am a firm believer that everyone should work in retail at some point in their life. To gain a little empathy, you know? After a while, you foster this contempt for the human race--and it's people like her that spur it! Grrr..

that is hilarious...when I worked at Old Navy (back when ONO existed!) anytime a customer complained about us we got called up to the cash wrap where the MOD would playfully smack the back of your hand. Never got a write up in more than a year, until the bitch manager from GO transferred down to our store. Boo >:(

That sucks, but yeah you probably could've said it in a more polite way.
