Today, in the fitting room at Old Navy, a customer asked me if we sold Calvin Klein jeans. I replied "no ma'am, this isn't a department store, we only sell Old Navy jeans." She left, and complained to my manager, who informed me that "the customer is always right." FML

Have a friend pose as a customer and give you a home made coupon that says "All the shit I want for free". They're the customer; they're right.

So dumb of the manager like actuly you cant ******* snap your fingers and make jeans apear

That's customer service for you. "The Customer is Always Right" even though the customer is usually a drooling moron with the intelligence of a mentally handicapped ferret.

well obviously the customer is wrong in this case

"The customer is usually a douche-bag."

Have you ever been to www.notalwaysright.com? It's a website full of stories like this, mostly pretty special. I've worked in retail since I was 16 (20 now) so I feel your pain. And LOL to #87 :)

I worked at a Burger King in high school and we got so many people ordering Big Macs, it was ridiculous. Your customer just felt stupid and embarrassed and decided to take it out on you. She should have laughed at herself and said "Oh yeah! Oops!"

It's funny how only managers hold that opinion. Everyone else knows that the chances the customer is right is one to a hundred. xD
