Omg customers can be so difficult some times. I work at Old Navy too, and I've had almost the same experience except they were asking for Levi's... and my manager told them that Gap sold them instead.

Your manager is RETARDED! No where near as dumb as the customer for complaining though. I hate when people whine about it being the EMPLOYEE's fault when it is something they have no control over.

i also work at old navy and the same thing happened to me. a customer asked if we sold levi strauss, while i was in the denim sec, and i told her that we only sold old navy clothing. except my manager backed me up with the same explanation that you told her lol

Apparently you were supposed to cross out Old Navy with a sharpie and write "Calvin Klein" in kindergarten handwriting. And yeah, some people need deserve a condescending attitude.

This is the problem with stores that higher managers because they've been there a long time, not because they would make good managers.

The customer is NOT always right. They can be dead wrong sometimes. Tell your boss to **** off.
