Today, is the first day of my honeymoon. It has been 6 years since I took a "real" vacation. We have 3 kids and a small house, and now we have 9 days alone in random hotels to do what couples do on their honeymoon without kids... Day one, I got my period 7 days early. FML

how does she deserve this? xD Like really. YDI for being a woman, YDI for leaving your kids.. I wonder what stupid excuses will come up for YDI xD

That sucks. Mother nature is awful. Hope things'll look up soon.

Wow, sucks for you. But I hope you had fun anyways.

Not all women prefer hormonal birth control methods. It seems pretty irrelevant that if you were in the OP's position you would "be in control" of your body.

Going to the doctor to get a prescription filled a month ahead of time seems like a lot of work for something you don't expect to happen in the first place.

More like monthS in advance. It usually takes a few months before your body settles on the cycle determined by the pills. Until it's settled, you're quite likely to have spotting and other fun things.

Not all women can take hormonal birth control. For example, anything with estrogen in it gives me migraines. I can take the progesterone-only ones, but I bleed all the time on them. Not great. Everyone's bodies are different, and not everything works for everyone.

how the f*ck is handing your body over to pharmaceutical controlling your body?

erm, 23, a lot of women don't want to go on the pill because, as it messes with your hormone levels, it can in some cases actually make you infertile.

I'm a woman. I started taking birth control pills when I was twenty-one. I'm twenty-three now, and OMG I've skipped periods before because I CHOSE to skip the placebo week and go to the next pack. What a concept. Therefore, I was in control of my own body and didn't have a period to interrupt my plans.

It doesn't work that way for everyone. I've skipped the placebo week before to try to skip a period and just ended up with a much longer period instead.

yea, he is pretty screw but on the plus side you can do it all you want without fear of another kid. so score one for the honeymoon

ide rather have 10 days than 4

Well, there is breakthrough bleeding. Bottom line, hormonal birth control methods can have different reactions person to person.

Just an FYI the pill doesn't work as well after a pregnancy and becomes less effective with each subsequent pregnancy. So it would be pointless for her to use it, especially when iuds are there.

You are clearly not well informed on the workings of the human body.

Cramps, etc, awww, that sucks. The ensuing mess...eh, you only get married once.

Have sex in the shower but if you can't then I'm sorry that sucks so bad.

Haha well hopefully ur period doesn't last 9 days, the last two (if it lasts 7) should be the best ;)

Throw down a towel to do it on and get over it
