Today, it's my 17th birthday. I asked for a newer car because my car right now sucks. I got a book on photography. I don't own a camera. FML

Wahhhhhh. So let me guess, your parents have already bought you a car last year and you want another one? Do you really think money grows on trees? Buy your own car, mooch.

You sound spoilt. You're 17 and own a car, you should be happy enough.

when i was 17, i worked three jobs, went to college full time, and completely supported myself. so stfu you spoiled brat. be thankful for what you have.

When you're 17, you don't have a concept of a car 'sucking'. If it gets you from point A to B, it's a good car.

At least now you can earn your money by taking black and white pictures of tree's and serene looking lakes. They've given you the means to get your car, you ungrateful fiend! Give a man a car, and he'll er... Basically, stfu and take pictures.

Boohoo. Go buy yourself a camera. Maybe then you'll get a sense of what this funny thing called "MONEY" is. Oddly enough, it doesn't usually fall out of the sky, especially right now. YDI for being a greedy teenager.

You're 17, you're VERY fortunate to have a car. Get over yourself you spoilt brat. Learn the value of money, as you'll be in shock and horror to find out that it in fact does NOT grow on trees. Learn to respect your parents. They have obviously worked hard and sacrificed to provide you with your so- called sucky car. At least you have a car. You spoilt little brat. Go out there and work and earn some of your own money so that you know the value of hard work and being paid for that hard work. Oh wait, you should probably buy a dictionary first, and look up 'hard work', 'value of money' and then go and get a job. You spoilt brat... have I mentioned that you're a spoilt brat yet?

Use your birthday money to buy a camera, take up photography, sell photos to magazines and newspapers, buy new car. Problem solved. When I was seventeen I got a ten-year-old beater with 100,000+ miles on it for my birthday. None of my friends fared any better. You'll get over it.

Save your money and get your own car, because obviously you don't understand the concept of money. I too wish for a new car, but I'm 20, i'd never expect my parents to go out and buy a car just because mine "sucks". Or, become a famous photographer and then thank them when your older for the photograph book which launched your career.

You mean you're 17, probably just got your license and your car sucks so you figured you'd ask for a car for your birthday? You do realize those things cost money, a lot of money, like thousands of dollars. Be happy you EVEN have a car. When I was 17 I had to borrow my mom's car because guess what? I didn't have one. I know, shocking that people actually turn 17 and don't get brand new cars. Welcome to the real world. Like everyone said, get a job and make car payments yourself if you want one so bad. OR save some money and buy a camera and enjoy the fact that you AT LEAST have a car.
