Now here's how you fix the problem: 1. Buy a chainsaw. Or steal one. Or get one from your garage. Just get one. 2. Go to your sister's room while she's sleeping... 3. KILL HER AND STEAL HER iPHONE!!!!!!! HAHAHAHHAHAHAAHA!!!! ...only if you're a tiny bit psycho, though.
#21 and #23 they probably got the iphone for the sister last year or something in June when she graduated, but the OP's birthday isn't until March so wtf would they give them the card before their birthday???? They didn't say their sis graduated today, they said their birthday was today. and #122 they're not depending on their parents. 18 is usually a big deal to parents but the OP's parents demonstrated that they care more about the little sister's graduation from middleschool than celebrating the date of the OPs BIRTH. It's not even that the gift only cost 5$, but the parents didn't even put any thought into it whatsoever. It's like picking up an air freshener and giving it to your wife/husband your anniversary or something. Stupid, selfish, thoughtless, tactless, and just plain wrong. Unless they happen to like sniffing air fresheners a LOT. #124 I assuming you've had a lot of birthdays forgotten in your lifetime to take on that attitude. Possibly with good reason? :s And for the OP, that's really harsh. You gotta hope that they're gonna give you something better later. If not then they're really a lot of words I don't want to say on here. :s
#105 and kinda #106 too: Had you actually paid attention to my comment, you'd have noticed that i mentioned the company Archos. Had you actually took 5 seconds to google it, you'd notice they offer products with much more potential than iPods. mostly for #105: You may not notice it as much since you... you know.... own one.... but you don't know how many times i've heard people say "Hey, is that an iPhone?" when they see my Motorola Q in it's case on my hip, even though it looks NOTHING like the iPhone. Or people thinking my Archos is some kinda iPod. Or the fact that 9 times out of 10, if you even SAY the phrase "MP3 player", iPod is the first thing that comes out of people's mouths. If Archos had a higher marketing budget for the US.... at least higher than the "next to nothing" that it appears to be right now, maybe high enough to advertise to the extent that Apple does, i'm betting two things would happen: 1) the iPod generalization, and generation, would see portable devices in a new light, realising there's more than just Apple 2) Apple would probably lower their ridiculously high prices. $400 get's you an Archos 5 with a 160GB hard drive, 4.8" 800x480 TOUCHSCREEN (Yes... Apple isn't the only company that has touchscreens, and Archos beat them to the punch with the Archos 604 WiFi which i believe was launched mid-late 2006), WiFi with web browser that supports Flash.... plays .ogg and .flac audio.... The ability to shut it off if it DOES crash, unlike the iPhone/iTouch where you have to let the battery die..... i don't feel like explaining everything.... but i think that already tops the iTouch/iPhone's available features, besides being shiny. And i didn't say iTunes was a bad program. I'd never use it, but i'm not saying it's bad. I'm saying the Archos is better because you don't HAVE to use iTunes, or anything more than "My Computer" to transfer music, video's, photos, flash apps, etc... to it. Plus you're able to easily retrieve your files from the Archos, which i've heard is damn near impossible with iPods, or at least not without using iTunes again. Seriously.... look up Archos. You'll be surprised what their products offer, and shamed at the fact that you WERE in fact a sheep who purchased a fashion statement, social status groping iPod.
Now that sucks. I would tell my parents to f*** off and slap them in the face, but that's just me....
#71- You've never even owned an iPod, so how can you bash how it works and the people who are smart enough to buy them? I own an iPod and I've heard of Zunes and etc. But ya know what? I wanted an iPod because it works better... I have a Mac and iTunes and they are sooo simple, it's not even funny. Seriously, How difficult is it to download music? All you have to do is 1. insert cd. 2. click "yes" when it asks you if you want them to download the music. Wow that's sooooooooo hard. Omigod I have suchhh a headache now. Plus, The instructions are so easy my 2 year old nephew could read them. It's pretty hard to screw up directions that are all pictures. But you're smart...you'd rather spend all your money on something that probably is more complicated than calculus....just cause the screen's bigger? Good job.
Awwww. That really sucks :(
#83 You're wrong, they do make $5 iTunes gift cards. I have about 50 in my study upstairs. You can't BUY them, though. They are promotional gift cards. The sales rep probably gave it to the parents when they were buying the iPhone. Some Apple employee you are. OP: WOW that's horrible. Not that you got such a shit gift, but that your sibling got such an awesome one compared to the free gift you got. It's the horrible favouritism and lack of consideration for your feelings that is the FML here. Hope you had a nice birthday anyway.
