Today, it's my 18th birthday. My parents got me a $5 gift certificate to iTunes. It came for free with the iPhone they just bought my sister for her middle school graduation. FML

Once again #131, the sister didn't GRADUATE IN MARCH! the OPs BIRTHDAY IS IN MARCH. There's a difference. No wonder they say common sense is the least common...

"and shamed at the fact that you WERE in fact a sheep who purchased a fashion statement, social status groping iPod." Now you're being an ass. And you think iPod owners are pathetic? Ever hear of the pot calling the kettle black? No, I'm not shamed at all. I purchased something that was much more useful than a portable CD player. I'm not going to bother trying to convince you that neither I nor my peers cares who has an iPod and who doesn't, nor am I going to bother responding to your Archos sales pitch.

The iPhone is an overpriced piece of metal that your sister is going to lose, drop and break or its going to get stolen. I agree with the people who said buy five kick ass songs and blast them to your hearts content and ignore your parents.

i know a certain ungrateful 18 year old that is going to get kicked out of the house right now!!!

wow that's friggin rough. sorry D: happy birthday though!

Honestly. You're 18 years old. There comes a time when you're old enough for your parents to stop buying you presents for your birthday. Also, you're 18. I'm gonna assume that you're about to graduate high school. They'll probably get you something big for your graduation as most parents do. Sheesh. Grow up. There are some people who don't get ANYTHING for their birthday.

Haha #22... Do NOT fart on your parents pillows. Obviously you are just the test child. They really love your sister. Kidding. Your parents are dumb. Move away. Very far away.

i've got to say that bites, i'm 18 and i got an iphone a few months ago, not for my birthday, but im in university right, and i got a grant for 3 grand, and my parents thought i deserved it for doing well in school, plus i needed a new phone anyway, the one i had was a 3 year old peice of shit that kept cutting off my conversations, and they like to stay in touch since i live away from home in res...but i have to say, the most ridiculous thing is these little teeny boppers walking around with phones that cost more than a years worth of my text books...who are they going to call? mom...dad...yeah, see what i did back in the day...was carry around quarters...you know since all public places have payphones...and besides...if its after school...goto the office and tell them you need to call home...its free! not even a quarter!...although they've moved the price up to 50 cents lmao, but yeah i get the OP's point...its nto the fact that they didnt get anything sustantial...its the fact that his sister got something like that for her grade 8 grad, and he got next to nothing for his bday...its gr.8...how well you do in middle school amounts to woodchips when it comes to life...but i agree with ppl here, you might get something good that they're saving for your highschool grad! and until then...im with them...get the loudest music you can find, and blare it day and night...i suggest rob zombie, underoath, or from first to last

What did they get you for your middle-school graduation? And, HAHAHA.
