Today, it's my 18th birthday. My parents got me a $5 gift certificate to iTunes. It came for free with the iPhone they just bought my sister for her middle school graduation. FML

What teen needs an iphone? I can understand a little flip-phone, or even a full key-board phone, but nobody in middle/high-school needs an iphone.

that's so not fair...... middle school graduation doesn't really count for anything... your 18th birthday should be really special. that's BS what your parents did.. an iPhone for a little girl who's how old? yeah, that's stupid. I'd shove that 5 buck gift card right up her nose..

That sounds like my 18th birthday gift, my parents gave me a extra key ring that came with my 16 year old brothers new 9/11 porches, oh and I also got a card that said “were so proud of you son!" ... I'm a girl
