Today, my 15-year-old birth daughter asked if I've ever had sex. FML

Time to have "the talk" with her I guess.

If you don't take time to explain it, they won't understand

Maybe you won't have to pay for college?

Seriously I've member been able to understand why parents are so embarrassed to have the talk with their children. It's better if kids hear it from their parents instead of other sources

YDI for not badly informing her about sex.

You missed the boat with her somewhere along the way

YDI. You shouldn't just leave it up to the school to have this talk with kids, you should do it yourself. Not only that, but, you should give kids The Talk before their crazy hormones kick in, so that it's not a new and exciting concept to go with their new and exciting hormones. You really can't say FML that your kid is under educated if you didn't talk to them yourself.

My mom forced my sister and I to watch sex ed movies from the library when I was 7. She talked about the contents afterwards and I learned everything I needed up until college basic anatomy. Get with it OP

That's the cue to tell her she's adopted.

At least she wasn't telling you that SHE had sex

it seems like kids don't think parents can have sex
