Today, my 5 year old fish died. As I was flushing him, he started swimming again. FML

You can't successfully grab a fish, (unless it's huge), especially if it's in moving water.

Weird thing is, that probably happens a lot. The flowing water can be like CPR for fish (I heard you can bring a koi back to life sometimes by putting in front of a water jet) OP, maybe your sewage goes to a reservour.
