Well you shouldn't dress trahy if you don't want people treating you like trash
Shame on everyone who thinks this person deserved it. Though I don't think this post is true, it hardly matters. This is the same thought process and makes people blame rape-victims for being raped. Should dress professionally for a professional job? Yes, you should. Does your not doing so excuse anyone who then sexually harasses you? No. No it does not. Comments like "Don't dress trashy if you don't want people treating you like trash" are honestly disgusting. You don't get to treat a woman like garbage just because you don't approve of how she's dressed. Would you want your sister or your friends getting treated like that because someone else thought they were dressed too slutty? "Trashy" or "slutty" is a matter of opinion. All of you, grow up and stop thinking like over-sexed, self-entitled jack-asses.
way to tell them
I wouldn't excuse sexual harassment either, but I'm not sure this qualifies. And there's definitely something to be said for dressing conservatively at work. People treat you according to how you present yourself, including how you dress. It's just a fact of life. "Dress for the job you want, not the one you have." Of course, there's definitely more to presentation than dress. I've seen girls exude sexuality and come off as provocative in very conservative clothes, and I've seen girls dressed scantily who don't evoke the same reactions. I'm not in the "YDI for being raped" camp at all, but I would say YDI if this happened to a loved one while they were dressed poorly for the situation.
I don't know why this is an fml... I mean she was just trying to help and she didn't mention any dirty old men staring at her yet. so it's not that bad :p
I am shocked at how many people think she deserved this. No one deserves that. Besides, think about it: would it really be an FML if OP knew she was dressing slutty? She probably just has big boobs and is try to dress professionally and dress cute at the same time. I dress professionally, but my boobs are of the size that even if I wear a high necked shirt- which I do- I STILL get comments and stares. Mostly because most women's clothing are made for girls with size B breasts, while the average breast size is size C. Now imagine having bigger ones than that and NOT being overweight. There's no shirt that will fit you! And who can afford to get everything tailored? IF this is real, it's grounds for a sexual harassment lawsuit against OPs boss. I really doubt the veracity of this claim though.
LAWSUIT!!!!!!!!
i think your boss used to be a girl's p.e. teacher.
