Well obviously the dog means more to you than it does to him. It's your dog and he can't just take it from you. Hopefully he doesn't try stealing it from you.

I don't understand why he should keep the dog. You've had that dog longer than you've been together... He's pretty dumb to think he gets to keep the dog. It's your dog and you're going to keep it. End of story. You need to tell him that too.. The dog means more to you then to him... Tell him to go get his own dog.. lol
