Today, my boyfriend and I went to a furniture store. We split up for a bit, and after a while I went to find him. A salesman noticed I seemed to be looking around for him and said, "Oh, your son is upstairs." We're the same age. FML

Or maybe he was bouncing on the couches like Tom Cruise and that made him seem like a kid.

Maybe he just looks exceptionally young? :p

You should have just played it off OP and been like "Ahh thank you sir that little guy always wonders off, he has a short attention span and gets side tracked easily" and went and got your boyfriend and just left.

#31, because one by one, they fall off and bump their heads. Then, they get concussions and you have to take them to the doctor who prescribes the obvious: No more jumping on the beds. And the co-payments add up and the visits from Child Protective Services get annoying. Sorry to be such a killjoy.

Maybe he saw a younger boy go upstairs, and assumed he was your son, OP? Nevertheless, that does sound quite insulting, although the salesman was just trying to be helpful - assumed, of course, that he wasn't just bizarrely trying to wind you up. Also, if you do look really different in age, the man would be unlikely to guess you were a couple. This sounds really rude but listen me out- my brother is gay, and I have absolutely nothing against homosexuals. But when two guys are out in public, people normally assume that they're friends. If you hugged or something, maybe that's why he thought you were related. It would probably have made more sense if he mistook you for brothers, but I guess that's what makes this an FML. FYL, OP.

I know how you feel since when i do go out People think I'm teenager when I'm 34 years old and they think my parents are my grandparents lol

Well you should feel good about being mistaken for being young. Most women want to look young forever.

Yes most women want to look young but I bet it doesn't mean they want to look like teenager and plus it gets annoying when your age my age and when other waiters and waitress take your drink or go out of their way to ask if you need any help or anything and plus it also annoying when strangers also at the restaurant report you to their waiter or waitress

Calling you lover, "Daddy" in public can be confusing to others.

It's nothing personal, Op dude. Salespeople actually are under a lotta stress, so they kinda see things in a blur actually. So dont take it to your heart.

Maybe he confused your boyfriend with someone else!! It happens!

It could have been worse, OP. If your boyfriend looks so young, the salesman could have mistaken you for a child molester.

Somebody's been using a better moisturizer.

Hey, at least you've got yourself a dashing man that looks quite young.
