Today, my boyfriend gave me a really sweet poem that he wrote for me. I think it was secondhand - the first letter of each verse spelled his ex girlfriend's name. FML

There could be a couple of different angles here: 1) OP is right and it is recycled. 2) OP is crazy and looking for something to validate her insecurities. 3) OP's boyfriend is trying to get rid of her and did it on purpose hoping she would notice (see #2). 4) Something else I didn't think of. 5) All of the above. 6) None of the above.

tee hee hee win. this was very entertaining to read ;3 but she doesn't have very much to complain about, if her boyfriend was the retard from the "icey slope" fml, then she'd be crumpled up in some imbecile's car. at least she can say she's alive. second hand poem is better than no poem.

Im wondering what the name of his ex is. If it was, say, Mary, or something by the style, now that would be an easy coincidence. But yeah, woudln't be the first case of recycled creativity a man has done, in particular if its worked before. If its proven to work, why change it =? tehehe.

I still think it would be a HUGE coincidence that not only would the first letters spell a name, but that name would just happen to be that of his ex. That said, unless OP's boyfriend is an absolute ******* moron, he probably didn't give you his ex's poem by accident. He's probably one of those cowards that want to break up with you but are too afraid, so make you do it. And since the choice is between that and absolute ******* moron, I wouldn't get too beat up about losing him.

To all you dumbasses who say straight guys and poetry shouldn't go together... That's ridiculous all music lyrics are just poems put to music...and there are PLENTY of very talented male straight song writers!
