OP has a boyfriend that's a douche. They met up with one of Douche Boyfriend's probably many exes. Douche Boyfriend introduced OP to his ex as his friend, not girlfriend. Then Douche Boyfriend and his ex exchanged phone numbers as you would with someone you planned on calling later and maybe going out with, all in front of Douche Boyfriend's CURRENT girlfriend, OP. Long story short, Douche Boyfriend is a douche.
