Wow, fyl. Forgetting your birthday is seriously ****** up but possibly forgivable. What is NOT forgivable, in my opinion, is him going to a party, for his ex no less, without you. The only parties he should go to without you are guys-only gatherings. Staying friends with an ex will cause serious jealousy and strife in a relationship. Unless his ex is like his bff or something I think he's out of line even having such a close friendship with her still. I say dump him.
