Today, my boyfriend told me he was going out tonight to celebrate his ex-but-still-friends-girlfriend's birthday at a local club and hopes I wasn't offended that I wasn't invited. I sure am offended; we have the same birthday. FML

I'm glad there are others out there who share my point of view. I'm only 18, and I am bestfriends with my most recent ex, and people just seem to think it's some sort of impossible feat of amazement that exes can remain friends, or even best friends.

If you think about what he said abstractly.. I think you just got dumped.

That's really crap. Happy Birthday tho!

I like the nonchalance on the delivery, with the semi-colon and all no less. Very hot. Lady... *I* would be pissed. Royally. FYL.

That "bros before hoes" crap is idiotic. It's like you're saying that just because there's a possibility that you could break up with him means that you shouldn't even bother caring. In the amount of time that I've been with my boyfriend, I've gained new friends, lost those new friends, and even lost some friends that I had considered close before I even met my boyfriend. They've either drifted from me or done crap behind my back, and yet my boyfriend has been here all along, supporting me, loving me, and caring for my feelings. Some friends are for life, yes, but not all, and if they truly are your friend, then they won't care that you chose to be with your significant other. Romantic relationships have a one on one commitment that you simply don't have with just-friend relationships. A boyfriend/girlfriend's birthday should always be more important to you than the birthday of someone who's 'just a friend', especially if that 'friend' used to be a girlfriend, even if that means just sitting on the couch talking/cuddling with your girlfriend when you could be out partying.

Well my opinion is about the same as everyone else's, so I'm not gonna bother saying anything but "Happy Birthday!" =)
