Today, my car window got smashed, because someone somehow confused the doll my daughter always leaves strapped into a carseat for an actual kid. It's a cabbage patch kid. FML

Today, I passed a car, and heard a baby crying in the back seat. It was hot and no one was around. All the doors were locked so I broke it with a rock, cutting my arm and setting the alarm off. Only to find out that it was a realistic baby doll. I have to get 7 stitches and pay for the window. FML

Today, I was mowing my yard when I hit a small rock, which hit my shed. I got done mowing and realized that it wasn't a small rock, it was my son's toy plyers and it wasn't my shed, it was my car window, which had shattered on impact. FML

Today, while driving home, I looked in the rear-view mirror and saw that my three-year-old daughter had managed to get out of her seat and had crawled to the back window. I pulled over and strapped her in again. Five minutes later she was back at the window. FML

Today, a woman pushed a stroller in front of my car. Thinking I'd hit someone, I jumped out. Turns out it was a doll. The "woman" was a 14-year-old girl, claiming, "I did it for the Vine!" FML

Today, when I was finished eating at McDonald's, I went to Shoppers to pick up a new toothbrush. I got back to my car only to find the windows smashed in. The only thing that was missing from my car was the Hello Kitty toy I got from McDonald's. Someone broke into my car for a 10 cent toy. FML

Today, I picked up my daughter from daycare. As we were getting into the car, I strapped her into the car seat, but something felt off. I looked back and realized I had picked up the wrong kid. In my defense, she was wearing the same jacket as my daughter. FML

From a distance it might be easy to confuse a doll for a child. But once they got up close I'd think they could distinguish.

I share your pain OP. I once had the police and an animal charity break in to my thousands of pounds, custom, air conditioned trailer for my dogs. Despite having tons of stickers advertising the fact it was air conditioned and the dogs were far more comfortable in there than they were baking alive out on the tarmac car park after these dipthongs destroyed and cost irreparable damage to my trailer. Absolute idiots. Apparently they had to check, as I could have been hiding two dogs in distress inside. I had several windows on it, if they had taken 5 minutes to check they could have witnessed my dogs lounging in 5 star luxury, or if they had taken the time to call my mobile number (clearly stated on the stickers) since I was just several feet away in a local shop I could have filled them in. Anyway, rant over, just be thankful it is only a window you have to replace. Next time make the dolly wear a sign saying "I am a doll you numpty". (Numpty - google it, it is a Scottish saying lol.)

It sucks the window was smashed, and that it was just over a doll (smh) but at least there are people out there that would do that to save a child's life, some people, even if it was a real child wouldn't have given a second thought and just walked away...but for real, fyl op because that ******* sucks dick. Have they offered to pay to have your window replaced?
