He's had job experience, sure the experience is armed robbery but it counts!
Unfortunately that is how the system seems to work nowadays
Probably because the companies get extra tax breaks for hiring ex cons. True story sadly. When I worked at a BJs tire center, every other employee in that department were ex cons. Scary shit I tell ya.
Were you even looking for jobs on the same level? It doesn't count if you're looking for a job in a bank and he, in McDonald's does it?
What did you study, OP?
Liberal arts
Well I assume he got a job that doesn't require education and that's not what you are looking for. If that's not the case then maybe you ought to tale a look at what he's doing differently
he's probably looking at lower level jobs than you I'm mean you wanna work as a garbage man I bet you can

you wouldnt want the quality job he scored. youre a skilled laborer. sadly that also means no one wants to pay what youre worth.

Your probably looking for a good job in your field that's why. Sorry to tell you this but you should get a low skilled job like cashiering while searching for the real one.
Don't sell yourself short! I'm sure you'll find something soon.
