Today, my cousin got hired after six days of job-hunting. I graduated from university six months ago and haven't even scored a single interview; he's a deadbeat junkie who just got out of prison after doing time for armed robbery. FML

Your probably looking for a good job in your field that's why. Sorry to tell you this but you should get a low skilled job like cashiering while searching for the real one.

Don't sell yourself short! I'm sure you'll find something soon.

That's probably not a good kind of job you'd want anyway

Does he work at a pizza place in Florida?

Yeah, but WHAT job did he get? I could've gotten any job all day long but I waited until I found the one that pays enough and that's worth getting up in the morning for...I'm sure it's frustrating but you're on the right track!!! Hang in there OP!!! : )

well this proves experience matters irrespective of the genre amd field...lol

In Australia the people on welfare get all the assistance in everything (training, writing resumes and even buying nice clothes) on top of that employers are given cash insentives to hire them. If you don't qualify for welfare you're screwed!

Don't feel envious of your cousin, rather celebrate his success, sure he made some major mistakes but to turn his life around this much and become a productive member of society is rather Astonishing, keep searching OP sure you will find a suitable position in your field in due time

There's one major difference though: he probably got hired for a position at Wal-Mart or Stop & Shop or somewhere like that, whereas you're looking for a position with good benefits and possibly a pension

It's not like you will be delivering food. You should expect more from your degree. Stay positive!
