Today, my mother kicked me out of the house because her new boyfriend needs my room. Evidently he also needs my credit card, passport, and wallet too, because she kept all three, while tossing everything else out on the lawn. FML

Today, my pill-popping mom, committing disability fraud and stealing from me, called the cops on me, and dragged the landlord into it, is now getting both of us evicted. All this because she'd rather live homeless with her drug problem than to get the help she needs, which I can't provide anymore after 10 years. FML

Today, I came from a 12-hour shift to find my clothes and stuff outside, and the locks changed. I called my mom to let me in and she told me, “Hell the fuck no, I’m not having a drug addicted junkie up in my house! You’re no longer my daughter!” and hung up. Apparently, she found my stash of weed. FML

Today, my psycho mom walked in while I was chilling and having fun with some friends. She kicked them out and now wants to drug test me, because, "Nobody's that happy without drugs." FML

Today, my mother took a bunch of sleeping pills, then went driving. I followed her and dialed 911. Now she thinks that I was "trying to get her arrested," and she refuses to talk to me ever again. FML

Today, my aunt, whom I live with, told me she is going to move out and demanded her half of the rent back, as she only spent two days a week there. When I told her that's not how rent works, she called my mom to tell her what a failure she had raised. Her own sons are unemployed drug addicts. FML

Please PLEASE get some support for yourself - it is hell on earth to be in that situation I think, there will surely be charities that can help, and maybe even social services. As hard as it is, your family need help to kick this and you need help for the future and the crud you have already been through. Please take care OP. Google 'drug addiction families new brunswick' and some stuff comes up you might want to look at.

OP, this really sucks and this is really serious. Having been raised in a family of drug addicts, you are at high risk of becoming one yourself. You need to get out of that environment and find a new place to live. From no fault of your own, you will have a hard time and a hard life as long as you stay there. Do not trust strangers or "new friends" met by chance, particularly if you are a girl. Young women estranged from their family are the prime targets of prostitution rings and what starts as a nice friend helping you can quickly turn into you being exploited. This is a real danger. It happens every day all across Canada. Your best options are: 1) Move-in with a clean and stable relative in another neighborhood or another town. Call them, you may be surprised at how much they will be ready and happy to help you. 2) Call Emergency Social Services at 1-800-442-9799 to talk to a Social Worker who will be able to tell you how and where you can get help. 3) Talk to a Social Worker, Teacher or Director at school and they should refer you to people who will be able to help you.
