Today, my dad took me to the 'Super Butcher'. It's basically a warehouse turned into a giant, walk-in meat freezer, complete with headless pig carcasses. I'm a vegetarian. FML

frostedmist tells us more.

i'm a teenager. a"child" in my fathers eyes. and it's easily 28 degrees Celsius outside. and he managed to make me wear jeans and a jumper, saying it would be cold. i didn't know we were going there. He thought it would be ok for me to walked around in a giant meat freezer.

Unless he carried you in there or dragged you kicking and screaming, you have no excuse because you walked your own dumb ass into the place. With a name like "Super Butcher", what did you expect to find inside, daisies and rainbows?

That's terrible! I'm curious tho, are you one of the vegetarians that are against animal slaughter?

I'm a vegetarian too but I don't agree with some of what PETA does, like killing the animals it sees as unfit for adoption.

"Tell your bf that if he's got beef, that I'm a vegetarian and I ain't ******* scared of him!" Sorry, had to lol.

******* love that place! They have the best pork.

Plus, only stupid animals don't eat meat. Like cows and sheep. And where are they now? ******* hanging by meat hooks in the most wonderful shop in Brizzy

'Super Butcher?' What, like a bunch of super heroes hanging up sides of beef & what not? Well, I might consider letting Wonder Woman prep my meat, however, I'd be worried if the Cat Woman showed up bearing her claws...

I'm a vegetarian not only for health, but also because I can't stand the taste of meat, and because I love animals. That said, I fully agree that PETA are a bunch of fucktards, but those who automatically equate vegetarianism with PETA are vying for that label as well. Also, with no intentions of starting an argument, let me point out that whether we are "designed" to eat meat is debatable. There is strong evidence that points otherwise, so everyone must do their own research.

i didn't mention there was a cold animal meat smell. i'm in my teens. therefore in my dads eyes, a child. the simple answer was that he wouldn't let me leave. @1 i am against animal slaughter. I'm fine with animals that die naturally, or are preyed upon by animals but when they are farmed and killed. and yes, humans are animals, but when you mass 'produce' animals, and then kill them... well, i understand that eating meat is part of life (although not for me :3 ), but animals being mass-slaughtered is not something i like. @23 it's Australia. it's at least 28 degrees Celsius. the sun is shining down and my dad insisted i had to come with him. I had to wear jeans and a jumper. I even tried to wait outside. too hot. @56 believe it or not, my dad is normally quite respectful of me, rather, he didn't think i would care about being in a warehouse full of meat. even though i have told him that i'm a vegetarian, and do not want to be around places full of slaughtered animals. don't judge me on my choice of being vegetarian. it's my choice, not yours.

Being a vegetarian means your not healthy. Your contradicting your own argument your saying that you don't like animals to be killed to be eaten but at the same time animals kill animals and that we humans are considered animals and so it just makes sense that we kill animals (farm raised animals I don't condone killing such animals like cats dogs etc) so we can eat them as well.
