No, they're not quite there yet. They're about in the early 80s, story wise. It was Noah. They've been following the comics really closely the past several episodes though, besides changing some lines & actions to different characters.

If Noah was his favorite I feel bad for you because he sucked and deserved to die for killing off two of my favorite characters. I could see why if it was Tyreese.
