Today, my dad, under threats of disowning me, insisted that I offer my sister a job in my company. I run my own law firm, she is a hairdresser. FML

It's not up to you or your father to supply your sister with a job. Especially if she's under qualified. FYL

I have a far superior idea; disown him for being a stupid animal. He clearly favours one child over the other and is a douchebag. FYL.

Put her in the ad department as the poster model and pay her min. wage. Problem solved

hire her as a secretary or coffee person, or if she's good looking and social, put her on the front desk

Give her the worse possible job. See how long she lasts. Either that, or accept being disowned.

If you own a law firm, why would you care about being disowned?

Well, #169, some people actually like their families and such. Weird, I know, but it does happen.

1) Tell your dad to **** off. 2) Help out your sister.

Why is everyone acting like just because she's a hairdresser, she's an idiot? You're all just stereo-typing her, which is very shallow. At the moment, I am in high school while in cosmetology school. Most of the girls in my class are in all of the AP or Honors classes offered at my school, and obtaining straight A's, or an A/B average. And, here's the biggest twist of it all, I'm going to law school after college! Wow, I guess smart cosmetologists do exist! Also, if you've even glanced into a cosmetology class, you'd know it's way more than just styling hair. You need to be intelligent to pass this class, and to get a state board license.

The point is that she doesn't deserve the job. It could go to someone who spent their time and money researching law.

WELL, you could like tell everyone you work with to pay her like 5 bucks to cut their hair...that'd help I guess. If she has a store or barber shop of some sort then you could just reccomend her. Your dad shouldn't threaten that like it's an obligation for you to help her, but as her brother you should.

I love my siblings, but I'd never work with them.
