Today, my daughter believed that watching the Big Bang Theory would count as studying for her chemistry final. FML

Believe it or not, I've learned a lot from that show :) but not enough to count it as studying.

Another show she could use towards studying for chemistry is breaking bad.....

Not so much willing as it is making up an excuse to watch a tv program to get out of studying, lol.

I doubt she actually believes it, but awesome excuse!

that's more studying than I did for chemistry.....

Procrastination. I would watch tv shows or play games when I'm supposed to be studying as well. Then cram all the studying the night before :/

Yeah, but did you try to tell yourself or others that you were actually studying by playing those games or watching those shows? The procrastination is normal, the pretending it's not procrastination at all is kinda weird :/

Oh I know I'm procrastinaing. My friends would ask "soooo are you studying?" and I would say "Oh yea totally, I'm not here shooting peoples heads off in this game". They know I procrastinate, they procrastinate too. And no, I would not pretend I"m procrastinating. I pay enough attention and do enough homework to not need the studying. If I'm unsure of a subject then I will definitely study it, especially for College.

I don't think you should need to study for a chem final. LOL

Well, The Big Bang Theory IS an awesome show. While it doesn't do much for my school work, either, it makes for the best procrastination activity ever!

Disagreed, the best procrastination activity is clearly complaining about the work you're putting off and making excuses as to why you're waiting to do it.

It does have a lot of scientific points in it but I don't think it will help a ton depending on what she has studied this year...

Breaking Bad might be a better choice. And hey, who knows, maybe she'll have to dispose of a body in the future.
