If you bought your daughter a thong, that is bad parenting on your part. They should grow up and buy their own underwear. And for the I love you part. That's obviously a sign that possibly don't give her enough attention.
I've never understand the need for sexy lingerie. If I was a guy, I probably wouldn't give a crap about some stringy piece of ass-floss. What they really want is to see you naked. FYL for having such an emotionless harpy.
Thongs are disgusting... Why would any girl wear them? I'm 16 and I HATE them. Only ***** wear them- it's true.
No, it's not true. Like a lot of people have said, some people like to wear them to eliminate panty lines. I am 15 and I do not personally wear them (they seem very uncomfortable to me) but my best friend wears them for volleyball because she doesn't want her underwear showing through her spandex. I think people can wear whatever underwear they want. Your underwear doesn't define you.
Yeah, it's not true that only ***** wear thongs. I have more thongs than anything else, and I am the furthest thing from a ****!
119: HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA ps about #8: Notice how it's always the un-christian people with "666" in their name, that are the ones who shoplift and think that wearing thongs early is OK? Just pointing out something I noticed... and OK to the couple people who were annoyed, no more preaching on my part! But last thing- about what I said about "just because others do it, doesn't make it right"... you can't deny that one! haha
@ 122: "Notice how it's always the un-christian people with "666" in their name." Took you a while to figure that one out, eh genius? Additionally, it's only literate people who show up on these websites, and people with internet access who have accounts. I'm amazing. Please don't strain yourself as you come to more deductive conclusions. And for CHRIST'S SAKE, spell Christian with a capital C. Judge not, my delusional friend. Lest ye be taken to task by the goddamn OPINIONATOR, biatch.
My child said she loves me. FML? Really?
I've been wearing thongs since I was thirteen. I've never been classified as a ***** or a ****; as other people said, it's simply just personal preference. I don't like panty lines showing, and I always feel just a bit sexier knowing that I'm wearing one, even if I don't plan to have other people seeing them. And to me, they're just more comfortable. Even more, my mother bought them for me. She said that she never liked them, but if I wanted to wear them, that was my choice, and up until I got a job and started paying for shit myself, she's funded all of my lingerie. On the note of your daughter saying I love you, it's good that she appreciates what you did for her, but on the other hand, she's clearly an ungrateful girl. She's just tossing the phrase "I love you" around like it's nothing, and I think that's really naive of her. I'm sixteen and constantly tell my parents I love them, and I hug them and kiss them regularly. If she's never told you she loves you, and is just saying it after you buy her stuff, it just shows how much she values your presence in her life. I hate girls like that; they give teenagers like me such a bad name. Have some respect, good lord.
It's really stupid to judge someone for the type of underwear that they wear. Most likely, nobody is even going to see a teenager's thong; said teenager probably only wants to wear one to prevent panty lines. (And nothing makes me stare at somebody's ass like a visible panty line. I'm female and I'm staring in horror rather than with lust, but the point is that, paradoxically, a nice-girl pair of panties could draw more attention to your body than a thong would). A lot of people seem to think that girls only want thongs so that they can engage in promiscuous behavior. Well, here's a hypothetical situation: a slutty* 16-year-old girl gives her classmate a striptease while wearing conventional panties. Do those extra square inches of covered skin make the activity suddenly family-friendly? Is the idea less offensive than if she were wearing a thong? Sexual behavior is sexual regardless of what underwear you're wearing, morons. *I don't actually believe in *****; it's a sexist term that helps to suppress female sexuality.

I hope I never have a kid like #8.
Messed up. I dont think I'd buy my daughter a thong at sixteen. Awkward. D:
