Today, my daughter said "I love you mom", to me for the first time I can remember. She is 16 years old. She said it because I bought her first thong. FML

why wou;d you bu ur 16 year old daughter a thong? Thats like telling her, "here you go, go be a ****."

why would a parent want to get a 16 year old child a thong? and why would a 16 year old want to wear a thong bought by her mom? that's messed up

whats the big deal about thongs? ive been wearing them since i was 12... shes not a bad parent, and her daughter is an unappreciative bitch.

For the 9845575th time a thong does NOT equal having sex. And even if it did, she's 16, there's nothing wrong with losing your virginity at 16, I think that's a nice age. Her mother buying her the thong at least means that they have an open relationship, which is good... And some people just don't like to express their love to everyone that explicitly! I don't have to tell my mom I love her, because she KNOWS. Same thing goes for my sisters or my best friends. Telling them all the time would just be plain creepy to me.

The girl isn't really a bitch for never saying "I love you" to her mom, unless her mom is saying it to her and she just ignores it. My parents and I hardly ever say "I love you" to one another, because we don't need to. We know that it's there. The thong thing is still weird. I wear thongs, but my mother has never bought a single one of them for me. I have always bought them for myself, because honestly, it would feel a wee bit odd having another buy my underwear.

To all these 15 and 14 year olds saying it's okay, because THEY wear a thong - actually, that makes it even worse, lil ones. I think moms should encourage their daughters to GET A JOB and buy their own damn underwear. No, wearing a thong doesnt make you a ****, but when you get your first one you feel a little sexier than you did when your mom made you wear granny panties, and for some girls that can lead to them acting "sexier" than usual. Meh, Either way I think this mom's stupid for buying her kid adult underwear.

Thongs don't seem to be comfortable...and I'm not saying that this ALWAYS happens...but, she may have wanted a thong to "impress" guys...problem is...her pants or skirt needs to be off for them to see.
