teenagers do not only tell their parents they love them when they get them shit. how dare some parents think like that. i lost my uncle in such an immediate way there was no time to prepare for his death and its moments like that you learn how fragile life is. i am 16 and i tell my parents i love them every morning and every night. also i find it quite embarassing that your 16 year old needs you to come with her to buy her first thong. she should be making her own money and buying her own underwear. its a part of growing up and she should learn how to. just because your daughter is 16 and wearing thongs does not make her a *****, frankly a lot of girls go commando so just be greatful she is wearing a piece of cloth down there anyways. thongs are more comfortable and overall are better for girls because underwear lines are embarassing. i do admit that usually we do show the boys pictures and stuff, but we would do that anyway.
nice way to let your daughter become a ****
To the people saying that she should be buying her own underwear- She is 16. Why in God's name should she have to buy her own underwear? Yes, learning responsibility and earning money for yourself is a great thing. But common. I'm almost 18 and my Mother still buys my underwear, and well everything else I have. The reason- not because I'm some spoiled brat, but because I do not have a job. Not every teen has nor needs to have a job just because they're at the legal age to. Yes, I've had a job before, I've had a couple. But really, as my Parents say, "As a child, your job is school, and getting an education." I think I've made my point quite clear. :D
You're a spoiled brat. Unless you're still in high school, at 18, you should be moving out. And in school or not you should have a job! People are being encouraged to be less responsible and to act like children when they should be adults. It's ridiculous. I'm 24, got a job at 16 and moved out at 18
why would you buy your teenage daughter a thong?

I hope I never have a kid like #8.
Messed up. I dont think I'd buy my daughter a thong at sixteen. Awkward. D:
