Today, my dog was diagnosed with depression. I got him to help with my depression. I guess we can just be miserable together. FML

Same way you do with humans. Lack of motivation, constant whimpering and anxiety, agitation, lack of eating, etc. Dogs' minds are very complex just like ours and can have many disorders our minds can, it's sad :(

Well I'm assuming the dog wasn't depressed when you got it. With you being depressed I figure you didn't have the drive to play with your dog and the dog eventually got depressed as well with the lack of attention.
