I've never heard of Krystal Burger before. It doesn't even make sense…who would want a transparent burger????

Let me get this straight. You drove your mom, who happens to be drunk, to a fast food place and you honestly didn't expect her to make a scene? Next time, take the drive-thru or, you know, not take you drunk mom to dinner.

You know, I worked night shifts at a burger place during college, and it was evidently near a popular nightclub. You wouldn't BELIEVE the special orders we got from drunk people. No doubt your mother wanted something off-the-wall.

This isn't an FML. A real FML would be: "Today, I got into a massive fight with a drunk customer while I was working at Krystal Burger. She told me I was ugly and probably spent all my free time eating ice cream and watching Oprah. She was right.

If you refuse to be seen in public with her for a good long while, it's only what she deserves. PLEASE remember that taking care of yourself, NOT her, is what's important. You might also dip into some of the vast literature for children of alcoholics, some of which will be very helpful. Al-Anon, if it's within your reach, was good for me at one point; I suspect the individual has more to do with finding the right group than anything else. I had two alcoholic parents.
