Decisions, decisions.. Who did you choose? Your ex sounds lovely

Was she wearing a wedding dress? Last chance to change your mind before she goes from stage 5 clinger to stalker.

How the hell is that sweet?? The ex crashing your wedding and "proposing" to you?? While you're trying to marry your fiancé. Yeah. Real sweet. She's a real keeper.

There is nothing sweet about it. It's really creepy and really wrong

If the feelings are really still there, she would respect his decision to marry someone else and be happy for him rather than try to steal him from his fiancée and ruin his wedding. It's not sweet; it's rude and disrespectful.

Did you seriously miss the part of the story the OP was kind of the the process of MARRYING SOMEONE ELSE?! That is not sweet, it's psycho or massively disrespectful and desperate.

Why the hell was your ex at your wedding? Just saying. :-/

My first thought as well. I recently went to a wedding of a young couple and wondered why the average age of guests was about 50. I asked my friend why, she said the bride and groom made a rule that they couldn't invite anyone either of them had slept with. So the guest list was pretty limited.

I was invited to my ex's wedding. And I invited some girls that I had slept with. Mature people can do stuff like that.

Did you show up? Or rather did they? An invitation might be a nice gesture but to actually show up seems odd to me.

The OP is my best mate and I was there. Her ex was definitely not invited! They haven't spoken in nearly five years (since they broke up). She just suddenly ran in shouting 'STOP YOU CAN'T MARRY HER' then got on her knees begging my mate to marry her. We're still not sure how she knew where to be or what time, but still - it happened!

Are you lying? Because the FML says they are a female?

I was about to say the same thing. Nice story though

I have several things to say. #98 the poster does have the gender of OP correct, read more carefully. #23 I'm sorry if your friends couldn't invite most the friends they know because they slept with them at some point in time I think they both have a problem with promiscuity. Or as # 36 pointed out maturity.

I'm looking forward the follow up. Did you say no, or realize you still had feelings for her and said yes?

I love how people still clicked on you deserved it. In what way do they deserve this?

I'm guessing they assume op invited the ex, not that the ex may have crashed.

Silly fools. Find me one FML in which no one voted YDI. You can't do it and you will never be able to.

Really, #48? I mean, the fact that OP was getting married to someone else wasn't enough of a hint for her ex? This isn't a Hollywood movie where the handsome hero realizes just in time what a big mistake he made by letting the love of his life marry another guy, manages to stop the wedding in a dramatic fashion and ride into the sunset with the heroine. In real life, if you propose to someone on their wedding day, you're going to get rejected and are quite possibly completely delusional.

48, in addition to what 55 mentioned, have you read any FML that starts with, "Today, I proposed to my girlfriend..."? Those never end well, in spite of the fact that the posters seem fairly confident that they won't be rejected.

#100 That's exactly my point. The ex obviously thought the OP would say yes. Either the ex is truly and certifiably insane and should be committed for treatment somewhere or OP gave her some reason to think that she would say yes.

Hoping the ex crashed the wedding and wasn't actually invited...

Well, that's.. odd.. Be glad it's your ex, this is just another sign you did the right thing by leaving her (assuming you didn't accept it).

This is where the best man steps in and runs interference.
