Today, my fiancé confronted me about our wedding arrangements. Apparently, if he's not allowed to wear a duct-tape tuxedo and have a Jesus impersonator as his best man, the wedding is off. FML

Hey guys, OP here. I agreed to the Jesus as the best man but not the tux. No, I'm not going to dump him or call the wedding off because of his ideas, since it isn't just the woman's day but his too. It isn't too terrible to have have a little spunk at Our wedding ;P

I believe that weddings are all about the joining of two people, not just females.

The duct tape tuxedo sounds a bit much, but the Jesus best man seems awesome!!

It'd be cool if it was the Jesus from Dogma.

I think it would be more fun to have the Jesus impersonator perform the ceremony. Or Moses, if he's determined for Jesus (the Buddy Christ) to be the best man. I agree with having the Dogma Jesus. He can point and wink in all the wedding photos.

#14 Do you think though that it's fair to have all the attention at a wedding be on the groom and best man.

#87, the proposed arrangements aren't "fair" but maybe OP can suggest something special to her! Besides, the whole bride walking down the aisle is when a lot of the attention centered on the bride

I think she Gould try and get a "Buddy Christ"

If I were you that alone should make you want the wedding to be off....

Agree with that condition if only he agrees with an even more outrageous request of your own in hopes that he'll change his mind about it and have a wedding that you want!

Like have him make her a duct tape wedding gown?

And that's where he ends up agreeing to it and you're stuck with something you want even less. Don't be an idiot, this isn't a TV show. Talk to him about it instead of resorting to ridiculous ideas that are clearly half thought through.

#35, Yes, something like that. But yeah she should talk about it. That be better for her.

Other than the duct tape, this man may be on to something...

Those are not good reasons to call off a wedding. There may be another reason why he wants to call it off. Talk to him about what he wants. Maybe you can compromise?

Sounds like a sticky situation.

Have the Jesus impersonator as the priest. That would be AWESOME.

I was thinking something of the same sorts have an unorthodox wedding. Jesus as the minister and the entire weeding party in duct tape. Let loose and have some fun.

Well....at least he will be completely waxed for the honeymoon....

Groom-zilla much? Sheesh. Hopefully he is just being obnoxiously dramatic =/
