Today, my fiancé proposed to me. He said, "I could have picked anyone, but I chose you. You're a solid 2, which is average. Not a 10, but I'm glad you're a 2. Less pressure, ya know." I'm not sure if I should be more upset with the fact that I'm "average", or the fact that he thought this was romantic. FML

2 is nothing average out of ten...its well below average a 5 is average. as in a ten could be a super model who isnt stick thin and a 1 is a person with a disfiguring physical appearance thats is by far unattractive. he just called her one step above that...

How is 2 average? On a scale of 1-10 I would think the average would be somewhere closer to 5. Even if you're not a 10 by conventional beauty standards, he should think you are a 10 to him. My husband swears I am an 11. I'm not, but to him I am. I hope your fiancé smartens up. He kind of sounds like my ex-fiancé which makes me doubt he will.

I fail to see how you said yes after hearing that? I can only guess it was because you were under pressure. Now that you have really realized what came out of his mouth, I would ask him why on earth he said that! Unless he is treating you like a queen otherwise, you should re-consider your answer based on his reply.
