Today, my friend posted my picture on Craigslist under the "men seeking men" section. I got 16 replies with 2 hours. He then decided to post another picture of me under "men seeking women" to compare results. The only reply I got was from a man. FML

Today, I tried the 'Casual Encounter' page on Craigslist. Three hours, a bunch of spam, and a 30-minute call to some company, speaking to some lady I could barely understand to recover the $40 somehow charged to my card. I think I might want to try other ways to meet people. FML

It's a phenomenon seen on BBSs with disproportionate genders, too. Homosexual men outnumber heterosexual women. Factor in online partner search which is even more disproportionate, and anyone who says you look cute is probably a man, regardless of whether you are a man or a woman.

after the craigslist rape, i don't see many women going for men they don't know on the internet. reasons like this is why it's like that. this is why you RARELY see women seeking out guys in the adult gigs section and whatnot, or guys serving women under adult services.
