Definitely get your cast replaced. In the meantime, I would use something like a knitting needle or ruler to scratch. Don't use anything sharp as this will damage the skin and make it worse. Also take an antihistamine, it will help with the itching (I got through packets of Piriton (chlorphenamine maleate) when I had a cast on recently). Get well soon!
