Today, my friends and I held an intervention for my fiancé. He's been talking and behaving like an "old-timey cowboy" non-stop for the last three months. Our wedding is in a month and he refuses to marry me if I can't accept his "life choices." FML

Today, my friends staged an intervention. I'm not on drugs, I'm not an alcoholic, and I own my own house. My car is paid for and my job pays well. Apparently, I need an intervention because my life is not where they want it to be, which involves me being married with children. FML

Today, I tried to talk to my soon-to-be-husband about how he needs to take a more active approach in his own life. It devolved to him screaming at me and putting words in my mouth. This has been going on for six months. FML

Today, my fiancé's ex-wife thought it was perfectly acceptable to give herself a part in our upcoming wedding. She wants to "give" him away to me, the same way a father does to a bride. I think this is kind of like a "test" your fiancé is giving you. I think he's just freaked out about the wedding and so he's doing things on purpose, not to get out of it, but just to prove and see if he's making the right decision. Of course his logic here is completely odd and a bit juvenile ("the only way I can prove to myself that I'm making the right decision and if she loves me is if I talk in an accent!") but it's still a test. Just a thought. It's entirely possible that your fiancé is just going through a faze.
