Today, my girlfriend broke up with me for being superficial. She said I was superficial because I paid $100 for acne medication, because she always complained about how much acne I had. FML

Anyone who spends *anything* to make themselves look better for their bf/gf is too good for them. Your sig other should never make you feel like less than you are. Better off without that, I say.

Agreed 34, that's usually one of the perks of having a gf/bf, because you like each other and positively reinforce the good things in each other. Thus you each end up with higher self-esteem, which leads to better hygiene and more assertive behavior. Its an upward spiral. That's why a lot of people find that they get hit on more when they are in a relationship because it makes you feel better about yourself and you project that. If your sig other is making you feel worse about yourself its an abusive relationship. GET OUT!
