Today, my girlfriend dumped me via text message. The sad thing is that I left my fiancée of 5 years to be with a girl I worked with at Walmart. My ex-fiancée is now a doctor. I still work at Walmart. FML

I have to question how legitimate this is. What moron would dump his fiancee of 5 years... for some girl he works with. Then adding on that the fiancee is a doctor and he dropped her for a girl at wal mart? This is beyond an idiot. This is a special case.

I don't understand why so many people here are saying YDI. What if the OP broke up with his ex because she was a horrible person? What if she was selfish, materialistic, and arrogant? The fact that the OP broke up with a doctor-to-be in favor of a Walmart girl shows, at the very least, that money is not the only important thing to him.

If that's the case why did he ask her to marry him? If she was that much of a bitch, he simply deserves it for perpetuating the situation to begin with by not being honest with her or himself.

Your marriage with the doctor wouldn't have lasted long. As an overworked, overstressed, underpaid med student and resident, you may have been an acceptable deal, but once she gets out in the real world, she'll wake up to the fact that she's shackled to an underachieving loser. I hope you are running a high fever, you go and see her, and all she prescribes for you is "more cowbell."
