well, if it was with her gf...

I heard once that some kids got detention for hugging each other as friends. Maybe her school has got one of this psycho-rules? Or maybe I'm naive and she is a cheating bitch :) I still cannot get over this puritanism though. Fair enough you don't want the teens to roll on the floor naked, but a kiss or a hug is pretty harmless.

Well i can't tell if she was cheating because at my old jr.high PDA meant touching in anyway even a high five but at my high school it depends on the teacher

Some schools are crazy. I got in trouble once for hitting a guy's butt. It was a crowded hallway and my hand just accidentally touched the guy. Instead of being reasonable that when a hallway is packed things happen, i got in trouble. Just saying, it could be nothing

Just don't. accidentally touch it at school.

PDA. Can refer to showing hate love and pretty much any emotion to another student, I got a detention for PDA once for choking another student, maybe tye gf had to choke a butch

Pretty sure you got detention for, you know, assault. Not for publicly displaying affection.

Unless the other student was a masochist or into domination, that was probably the case.

U dumb shit that's not even a word

Neither is "U", but you don't see anyone else complaining. Well, no one but me. And all the people thumbing you down.

This is so incredibly vague. Depending on the school, unacceptable PDA could be anything from hugging to hand holding to kissing to more sexual stuff with the same or opposite sex.

Do they seriously have that rule in the US? Here in the UK PDA happens all the time and we never get told off for it in our schools. Heck, some of the teachers would be in detention if they had that here (some of the teachers in my school were married to other teachers in the school).

Oh, yeah, it's a mess in American schools, what with all the prudence and such. I guess they're trying to prevent kids from showing emotion in school.

A lot of people in the US are really paranoid, and there are schools where so much as shaking hands with another student is forbidden. I once read that one principal said too many displays of affection suddenly escalate into violence or sexual assault and that there are gang-related handshakes. So glad I don't live down there.
