ScaredOfClowns tells us more.
(I didn't know how to get it to comment as the OP...) For those of you who are asking how I didn't know, she had never brought it up in conversation. We only recently started dating and she hadn't mentioned it at all. She knew that I was afraid of clowns and admitted later on that she thought I was kidding. I guess it could be worse, when I made an excuse to leave and we talked about it later, she suggest we stay at my place instead.

Did she show you her scars?
She's a keeper.
She's a keeper. Not sure if I'd say the same about you.
That's funny. most ppl I know with clown phobias still like the Joker. I've always thought it was interesting.
Probably had to do with the clown style. Most people are afraid of circus style clowns with the heavy makeup, big bright clothes, red noses, and giant red hair. The joker isn't even close to the same style.
The joker isn't actually a clown. Which is why it doesn't always register. Because he's a "joker" and Harley is a jester. Technically not clowns. But still do the face paint. Op is overreacting to joker seeing as how he isn't actually a clown. I mean, his name even says what he is and what he does. Plays jokes to ensue chaos and laughter.
I feel you bruh
Don't be so down "let's put a smile on that face"
I like your girlfriend
You're scared of a man in makeup? Homophobic much?
How does that even remotely sound homophobic? are you Implying that only gay men wear makeup?
Perhaps he was being sarcastic, but I don't know
