That's so rude and disrespectful. Don't leave them anything or tell them that you are leaving everything to charity.
Don't leave them anything! How selfish of them!
How old are they? Maybe it could be understandable with young kids who do not understand how to be tactful- though of course they should be told that this isn't the correct way to behave. They might not even understand the gravity of the situation- ie that somebody has to pass away in order to pass on their possessions. If they're older kids/teenagers, then they're being incredibly rude.
Donate it all to charities in their name. And then have the lawyer send them a letter explaining why. That's what I would do. I knew one person who's children argued over what they would get she put in her will that anything that the rest of them argued over the youngest got because he wasn't involved in the arguments. Besides it is awfully rude of them to do that. Maybe it will teach them that sometimes others come before them.
was it just a joke in ill taste?
When a few of my grandkids/great grandkids do this, I'm gonna lean in real close and say no, its all going to your cousins
