Today, my grandmother patched up my $300, vintage, limited edition, designer jeans because she thought I'd accidentally ripped them. FML

well thats what you get for buying $300 jeans.

Maybe now you can reflect on how absurd it is to spend $300 on Jeans that are ripped, simply because they are "trendy"...

lol I wouldn't pay $300 for pants; but hey it's your money. that ******* sucks, my grandmother has ruined things for me :] but can't be mad at someone like her.

So you may think ripped up jeans are ridiculous (so do I, in fact... I'd never buy them, at least) but hey, whatever floats their boat. Some people just like to spend money on designer clothing, other people like to spend money on buying expensive technology, others on travels maybe, others on going out all the time... it's your money, you worked for it, buy whatever you want with it. Nobody else's business. And nobody ever said this person was mad at the grandma... so where did those "omg be thankful you have a grandma, mine died!!!" comments come from? Of course the grandma can't help it, but it still sucks to see your $300 ruined.

hahahaha wow did you tell her thats the kids weird fashion today? i think you could have made them your self......um.....are you mad? i thin kshe was being thought full so youre junk dont hang out or something

This is where thrifting comes in handy. Also, this is where researching clothes/stores/prices comes in handy. That does suck, but your granma was simply trying to be nice. If you really want vintage designer ripped jeans, go to stores like Annie Creamcheese (stores in DC and Las Vegas, as well as online) or RevolveClothing.com. You'll find cool stuff for a fraction of the price. Both stores have ridiculous sales and high quality items. I know they can't replace your jeans, but they might save you a little money in the future. And keep in mind that other (cheaper) brands may have clothes that could work for you. If you're set on a particular style of jeans, I suggest that you take up sewing. Rip apart the seams of your favorite pair of jeans once they've been retired and use the pieces and measurements to sew your own pair. It takes practice, but it's worth it. If you want a worn look, use sandpaper to wear down the edges. Get creative. Personally, I think that ripped/worn/whiskered jeans look tacky. There are always exceptions, but by and large... No no.

Yeah, your life is f***ed...not because your grandma patched up your $300 jeans, but because you're stupid enough to pay $300 for a pair of jeans in the first place.

Give your extra $300 to your grandma next time. She's nice enough to do something like that for you and I think you should have better things to worry about than this

A. You deserved that for spending $300 on jeans with holes in them. B. You deserved that for spending $300 on jeans. C. You deserved that for buying designer jeans. D. You deserved that for buying designer jeans with holes in them. C. You deserved that for buying jeans with holes in them. So, in other words, next time you spend $300 on a pair of jeans (you could get a decent suit for that price), make sure they don't have holes in them.

Ditto to everyone whose sympathy you didn't get. You're dumb.
