Today, my house was the only house left that still had its Christmas lights up, so I decided to take them down. Almost done, my fingers brushed over a spiderweb. Startled, I jumped off the ladder and broke my shoulder. Oh, and the spider still managed to stay on my hand, giving me a panic attack. FML

Actually, spiders are pretty cool, they only bite people out of self defense. Also, there's this one spider (I believe the huntsman spider) that eats other spiders, and all it wants to do is chill. It is non-venomous, but tends to cause people to crash their cars, because they like to hide. Also, the spider with the deadliest venom is too small to bite you. That just shows you that they really aren't all that bad, people are just irrational.

if you took ur lights down when everyone else did, there wouldnt have time for them to make their webs. AND, spiders don't attack unless you do... all you had to do was brush it off or shake ur hand at most, not jump off! YDI!

That sucks. Spiders are the bane of my existence. They know I hate them, so they make it a point to nite me, not my husband. I don't think I'd have jumped off a ladder, but I would've had a mini-freakout nonetheless.

@ #38. there r spiders that can actually KILL ppl (this spider was mostly likely not deadly, but u never know). it's called a poisonous spider. u obviously don't know shit

@47 black widow (red hourglass), that's about it. most other ones worth noting "just" cause tissue degeneration or hurt like a ************, but you won't die. http://www.termite.com/spider-identification.html now you DO know. ALSO there are anti-venoms. i'd suggest working on your arachnophobia OP. if it's bad enough that you're risking an injury, get help.
