If you are Greek, this might work as Cratos is an actual mythological figure. Even Kratos is a real Greek word meaning strength. But if your last name is something like McGee or Flannigan or Hernandez or Worthington or Aalam (you get the idea) anything not Greek, this is fail. How old is your husband? Don't get me wrong. I like video games on occasion too, but I am not going to name my kid Master Chief or Samus. In fact, even normal names that would be acceptable for my cultural background, like Mario (it's a Spanish name too) are now off limits and reserved only for pets just because of video games.
Actually, Kratos is from a fairly unknown video game, manga and anime series Tales of Symphonia, and he is one of the most powerful characters. I would love to name my child Kratos xD
Kratos is a greek word, just cuz a few videogame charactersarenamed that doesnt mean, its a badname, there are game characters named alex and andrew as well. honestly this isn't really that funny which is why you posted it here in the first place, It's a cool name but I don't think it fits real people tho.
thats why you need to retain veto power over ridiculous names and F*ck taylor with comment #30
Hey, at least it's not Bowser.
I like names that aren't common that have a cool meaning. Mine is Charity, meaning love. I don't like the name kratos though but I think naming should be a joint decision. I know people having a twins: A boy and a girl. The mom is naming the girl, and the dad is naming the boy. They both hate each other's names. I don't understand this. AND it could be worse. My friend's mom taught a kid named 160. Because when his mother had him, her life took a 160.... That's an idiot.
#46 Cool it! Kratos is a cool name and in a job interview I'm pretty sure they're not going to blame Kratos for his name. I don't think there's any interview I've heard of where they asked you where you name came from. You're over reacting. I have a generic name and sometimes I wish I had a unique name even though I like the name I have. You should let your husband pick the names more often, sounds like he has cool ideas. You might have picked something like Matthew or something really plain and ordinary. Not that those names are bad, but break the mold every once in awhile! How is this an FML? Sounds like a story that someone should be taking to marriage counseling. Have a problem with your husband's choices, take it up to him not FML.

i dont get the "i name one kid, you name the other" mentality. why dont you just work together to find a name you both like?
"Make-believe cartoon character"?! Whoa whoa whoa, you've gone too far, there. Besides, it's a totally cool name, you must admit.
