Agreed.
Even if you can't get him another gift you can wrap a picture of another gift and give him that. My wife did that for me several years ago when the gift she wanted to give me was on backorder.
As a wife, I would give my husband something meaningful, something that shows I know him. Something I know he would love. I'd be sure to make it special. If OP thought this way while picking out her husbands gift then I would be wondering why a co worker thought to give him the same thing lol
My husband and his co-workers know each other really well. If they exchanged gifts, this would happen to me also. We all spend a lot of time together.
The coworker could be a good friend. One of the men I work with bought another one a Rolex for his birthday.
At least it wasn't herpes.
... we hope.
Is it a repeatable gift? Like candy?
That really must suck.
Maybe you should be getting more thoughtful and meaningful gifts.
That's what I'm saying. What if she DID get him something meaningful and thoughtful.
Shit. Make up for it with xmas sex ?

hope it's not something to spice things up in the bedroom
That's kind of weird that his coworker bought him something that you would of..
